The Race to the Top of the Gaming World
Microsoft and Sony have proclaimed an inconsonant release date for their next generation gaming consoles. According to GameStop, either the Xbox 720 or the Playstation 4 is releasing in the year of 2013, but not both. “This week, I'm getting a lot of rumors that are very interesting about 2013," announced GameStop CEO Paul Raines, "We have not been expecting two more consoles in 2013. We're expecting Wii U this holiday, another one next year, and another one in '14. These rumors change every week, but we're hearing more about next year." Last June, Microsoft announced the new Xbox 720’s value to be around the $300 range. The next gen Xbox also features an advanced Kinnect and other tweaking features. Sony announced that they would be releasing their console after Microsoft. Some disagree with Raines’ prediction and believe that both Microsoft and Sony will release their new consoles in 2013. Some critics say that Steam will also be releasing their very own gaming console for the first time. Hopefully, all three companies release their consoles in reconciliation.
